Education CIC — founder and CEO since inception
Ultra Education CIC
Julian founded Ultra Education CIC to tackle youth unemployment and entrepreneurship education at scale. Since inception he has raised approximately £3.1M for the organisation, developing programmes that have reached thousands of young people across the UK.
Ultra Education's work has spanned enterprise education, youth employment, social innovation and digital skills — delivered through partnerships with schools, local authorities and national organisations. Julian has navigated every stage of the funding and delivery cycle that early-stage founders face, from initial concept to multi-year programme delivery.
Experience Across the Sector
Over the past decade, Julian has worked directly with charities, CICs and social enterprises at various stages — helping them strengthen their funding applications, clarify their delivery models, build evidence of impact, and develop the governance structures that institutional funders and corporate partners expect.
His experience covers fundraising, strategy, programme design, partnership development, technology and organisational development. He has worked across the education, enterprise, innovation and social-impact sectors, including projects and programmes connected to organisations such as Innovate UK, DfE and KPMG in the context of specific education and enterprise initiatives.
Note: Julian's work within these contexts relates to specific programme and partnership activity. This does not represent formal endorsement of Impact Founder Mission by any of those organisations.
Why Impact Founder Mission Exists
Julian built Impact Founder Mission because he kept seeing the same pattern: motivated founders with genuinely good ideas failing to secure support — not because their ideas were weak, but because their projects lacked structure, evidence and funder-ready framing.
The knowledge of how to present a project clearly, how to build a credible theory of change, how to demonstrate impact with data, and how to match a project to the right funding source is not widely taught. It tends to accumulate through repeated rejection. Impact Founder Mission exists to shortcut that process.
The scorecard is not a generic assessment tool. It reflects the real questions Julian has seen funders, commissioners and partners ask across hundreds of conversations, applications and due diligence reviews.
